About the Author

Premyogi Vajra was born in 1975 in a small village nestled in the beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India. Rooted in simplicity and close contact with nature from an early age, his life gradually unfolded into a unique blend of practical living and deep inner exploration. Yet, he is not bound to any particular place. A wanderer by nature, he has spent long phases of his life in contrasting environments and societies, finding that diverse places and circumstances can contribute to spiritual growth and awakening. He believes that, just as different stages of life shape inner development, different environments, cultures, and ways of living can deepen spiritual understanding. This may also explain why many ancient ascetics wandered for extended periods, not merely to meet their material needs, but to enrich their meditation through direct exposure to the diversity of life.

Premyogi Vajra is not a conventional teacher or an institutional scholar, but a direct explorer of consciousness whose work arises primarily from lived experience, observation, and practical experimentation. Naturally inclined toward writing, philosophy, spirituality, yoga, folklore, applied science, and travel, he has authored more than 60 books in Hindi and English. His writings explore inner awareness, human perception, the relationship between the body and consciousness, and the deeper dimensions of life.

His journey of inner transformation has been shaped by deep meditation, tantric understanding, and what he describes as practical spiritual research, an approach that prioritizes direct experience over inherited belief or abstract theory. He underwent two major awakenings. The first occurred spontaneously during adolescence in a dream-like state, through which he directly observed nonduality. The second emerged in his forties through deliberate and systematic yogic practice. During these experiences, he encountered profound states of awareness in which the sense of individual identity dissolved into a unified field of consciousness, traditionally described in yogic literature as samadhi.

His practice has also brought him close to states associated with keval kumbhak, the spontaneous suspension of breath, and nirvikalpa samadhi. However, he considers this realization not yet fully stabilized and continues his practice with sincerity and dedication. Rather than adhering rigidly to established systems or borrowed doctrines, he follows an intuitive and experiential path, seeking to perceive truth directly. He describes himself as essentially formless, an instrument whose expression takes the shape of the awareness or samadhi present within.

His first awakening inspired him to develop Sharirvigyan Darshan, a practical philosophical framework intended to help sustain an awakened, nondual perspective while participating in ordinary worldly life, to whatever extent possible. Through its practical application, he experienced a further glimpse of awakening. Following his second awakening, he developed Quantum Darshan, a parallel and equivalent nondual philosophical framework arising from intuitive insights associated with that experience. Both frameworks reflect his effort to understand and integrate nonduality into everyday living rather than confining it to temporary meditative states.

His autobiographical work, Sharirvigyan Darshan – A Modern Kundalini Tantra (A Yogi’s Love Story), is among the most important, foundational, and ambitious expressions of his life’s understanding. The original Hindi work, Sharirvigyan Darshan: Ek Aadhunik Kundalini Tantra: Ek Yogi Ki Premkatha Par Aadharit Kundalini Jagran Aur Atmagyan Ki Anubhavtmak Yatra, has also been presented in English through the books A New Age Kundalini Tantra: Expanded & Revised Author’s Edition: Autobiography of a Love-Yogi and MYTHOLOGICAL BODY: Sharirvigyan Darshan: A New Age Philosophy of Physiology. The complete translated version is also available as Sharirvigyan Darshan: A Modern Kundalini Tantra: A Yogi’s Love Story of Awakening and Self-Realization. These works present the essence of more than 25 years of observation, experimentation, and realization, encompassing his experiences of enlightenment and Kundalini awakening through both the natural process he associates with Prem Yoga and the disciplined practice of Kundalini Yoga. The work is also available as an audiobook.

Alongside his inner explorations, Premyogi Vajra has maintained a grounded and practical life. He has done commendable work in animal husbandry and veterinary care, reflecting a longstanding concern for animal welfare. His connection with nature extends to organic farming, polyhouse cultivation, scientific and water-efficient irrigation, rainwater harvesting, kitchen gardening, cow rearing, and vermicomposting. He has also explored website development and self-publishing as means of independent expression.

His interests extend to music, particularly playing the flute, harmonium, and guitar, as well as singing. Reading and writing remain enduring passions. He appreciates meaningful cinema and often combines it with family outings and travel. His journeys are motivated not merely by recreation but by curiosity, observation, and a desire to understand life in its many forms. For a brief period, he also served as a Vedic priest, assisting his grandfather in performing traditional rituals in people’s homes, an experience that further deepened his connection with spiritual traditions.

Through all his writings, Premyogi Vajra does not seek to create followers or propagate fixed doctrines. Instead, he invites readers to question, explore, and discover their own truth through direct experience.

A New Age Kundalini Tantra: Expanded & Revised Author’s Edition: Autobiography of a Love-Yogi और MYTHOLOGICAL BODY: Sharirvigyan Darshan: A New Age Philosophy of Physiology। Sharirvigyan Darshan: A Modern Kundalini Tantra: A Yogi’s Love Story of Awakening and Self-Realization
