शायद टल सकता था, या कम तो जरूर ही हो सकता था, यदि प्रेमयोगी वज्र द्वारा कभी उद्गीरित निम्नलिखित चार मूलभूत सिद्धांतों को गांठ बाँध कर याद रखा जाता-

मानवता से बड़ा धर्म नहीं, काम से बढ़ कर पूजा नहीं।

समस्या से बड़ा गुरु नहीं, गृहस्थ से बड़ा मठ नहीं।।

अब हम एक-२ करके सभी वाक्यांशों का विश्लेषण करते हैं-

मानवता से बड़ा धर्म नहीं- इसका अर्थ यह नहीं है कि धर्म को नहीं मानना चाहिए। अपितु इसका अर्थ है कि धर्म मानवता के ऊपर हावी नहीं हो जाना चाहिए। यदि वे रावण-दहन की धार्मिक रस्म को निभा रहे थे, तो इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि अपनी और औरों की सुरक्षा को नजरअंदाज कर देना चाहिए था। मानवता सभी जीवधारियों की, विशेषतः मनुष्यों की सुरक्षा व हितैषिता में ही तो छिपी हुई है। इतिहास धर्म के नाम पर अमानवीय अत्याचारों से भरा पड़ा है, और आज भी छिटपुट रूप में ऐसा होता रहता है। यदि इस वाक्यांश को सभी के द्वारा ह्रदय में बसा लिया जाए, तो इस पर तुरंत रोक लग जाए।

काम से बढ़ कर पूजा नहीं- इस वाक्यांश का यह अर्थ नहीं है कि पूजा नहीं करनी चाहिए। इसका अर्थ यह है कि पूजा के कारण काम में बाधा नहीं पहुंचनी चाहिए, अपितु काम में सहायता ही मिलनी चाहिए। फिर धीरे-२ काम भी पूजा ही बनने लगता है। दशहरा देखने आए लोगों का काम था कि वे समारोह को भव्य रूप से व सुरक्षित रूप से संपन्न होने देते, परन्तु रावण-दहन रुपी पूजा के चक्कर में वे उस काम को ही भूल गए, और सुरक्षा में भारी चूक कर बैठे। यदि यह वाक्यांश उनके मन में गहरा बैठा होता, तो शायद उन्हें सही दिशा-निर्देश देता।

समस्या से बड़ा गुरु नहीं- इसका अर्थ यह नहीं है कि गुरु का सम्मान नहीं करना चाहिए। गुरुसेवा तो मानवता की सबसे बड़ी पहचान है। इस वाक्यांश का यही अर्थ है कि अंधभक्ति तो गुरु की भी नहीं करनी चाहिए। समस्याओं पर भी गहरी नजर रहनी चाहिए, क्योंकि वे भी दिशा-निर्देशित करती रहती हैं। वास्तव में गुरु भी समस्याओं से ही दिशा-निर्देशन सीखते हैं। कई बार क्या होता है कि वास्तविक समस्या से अनजान गुरु गलत दिशा-निर्देश दे रहे होते हैं। यदि समारोह-स्थल पर कम जगह होने के बावजूद समारोह के आयोजकों ने अधिक से अधिक संख्या में लोगों से आने के लिए कहा था, तो लोगों को आना नहीं चाहिए था, या अधिक भीड़ की समस्या को देखकर वापिस चले जाना चाहिए था। जिसने नाराज होना होता, वह होता रहता। पुलिस की गैरमौजूदगी की समस्या को देखकर भी वापिस चले जाना चाहिए था। हैरानी की बात है कि लोग रेल की पटड़ी पर चढ़ गए, फिर भी उन्हें तेजी से दौड़कर आने वाली समस्या नहीं दिखी। सम्पूर्ण सुरक्षा के लिए भविष्य की समस्या का आकलन भी करके रखना चाहिए। ज्यादातर हादसे भविष्य में हो सकने वाली समस्या को नजरअंदाज करके ही होते हैं, क्योंकि सामने खड़ी समस्या तो सबको दिख ही जाती है। लोगों ने यह अनुमान लगाया होगा कि वे गाड़ी को देखकर हट जाएंगे। उन्होंने यह नहीं सोचा कि एक समस्या यह भी हो सकती है कि गाड़ी की रप्तार बहुत तेज हो, और वे उसे देख कर भी भाग न सकें। उन्होंने यह भी सोचा होगा कि गाड़ी की आवाज को सुनकर वे भाग जाएंगे। परन्तु उनकी सीमित बुद्धि उस संभावित समस्या का आकलन नहीं कर पाई कि पटाखों व लोगों के शोर के बीच में गाड़ी की आवाज नहीं भी सुनाई दे सकती है, जैसा कि हुआ भी। उन्होंने यह भी सोचा होगा कि जल कर गिरते हुए रावण से बचने के लिए यदि वे कुछ सेकंडों के लिए पटरी पर खड़े होते हैं, तो उससे क्या होगा। परन्तु वे उस संभावित समस्या का भी आकलन नहीं कर पाए कि कई बार संयोगवश बहुत दुर्लभ घटनाएं भी हो जाती हैं, और उन्हीं चंद सैकंडों में भी गाड़ी वहां पहुँच सकती है, और वह पहुँची भी। फिर आता है, समस्याओं को प्राथमिकता देना। बड़ी समस्या से बचने के लिए छोटी समस्या को झेल लेना चाहिए। यदि जलते रावण की गर्मी से वे परेशान भी हो रहे थे, तो उस परेशानी को पटरी पर जाने से संभावित जीवनघाती समस्या को रोकने के लिए झेल लेना चाहिए था। कई बार निर्णय लेने के लिए बहुत कम समय मिलता है, इसलिए दिमाग को वैसे समय के लिए भी तैयार करके रखना चाहिए। यदि इस उपरोक्त वाक्यांश को हरदम धारण किया गया होता, तो शायद यह हादसा न होता। “होनी” की बात और है। वैसे अपने प्रयास से होनी को बहुत क्षीण तो किया ही जा सकता है, यदि टाला नहीं जा सकता। फिर डिफ्यूज बम्ब की तरह होनी भी डिफ्यूज हो जाती है। कोई भी स्थान समस्या से मुक्त नहीं है, इसलिए दिमाग लगाते हुए सदैव सतर्क रहना चाहिए। सभी वैज्ञानिक आविष्कार आदि समस्याओं से सीखकर ही हुए हैं। इसका एक अर्थ यह भी है कि यदि कोई सद्गुरु की बताई हुई सही राह पर नहीं चलता है, तो समस्याऐं उसे सही राह पर चलवाने का प्रयास करती हैं। इसका यह मतलब भी है कि जब व्यक्ति चारों ओर से समस्याओं व अपेक्षाओं का शिकार हो जाता है, तब वह एकांत के आश्रय से योगसाधना करता है और आध्यात्मिक उत्कर्ष को प्राप्त करता है। यही प्रेमयोगी वज्र के साथ भी हुआ, जो इस मेजबानी-वेबसाइट व वहां उल्लेखित ई-पुस्तक का नायक है। इसका एक अर्थ यह भी है कि अधिकांशतः दोषपूर्ण व्यक्ति ही खाली लम्बे-2 उपदेश देता है, असली गुरु तो अनुभवपूर्ण होता है, और अपने आचरण से ही सिखाता हुआ इशारों में ही बातें करता है। इस अनेकार्थक छंद का एक अर्थ यह भी है कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति मानवता के रास्ते पर नहीं चलता है, तब अनेक प्रकार की समस्याएं उसे सही रास्ते पर लाने का प्रयास करती हैं।

गृहस्थ से बड़ा मठ नहीं- इस वाक्यांश का यह अर्थ है कि गृहस्थ से बड़ा कोई सभा-स्थल नहीं, कोई धार्मिक-स्थल नहीं। यदि यह बात उनके मन में बैठी होती, तो वे अपने परिवार को छोड़कर वैसे समस्याग्रस्त क्षेत्र की ओर पलायन न करके अपने घर-पड़ौस में ही धार्मिक रस्म निभाते। और यदि चले भी जाते, तो भी अपने परिवार में वापिस लौटने की तीव्र ख्वाहिश रखते हुए अपने को सुरक्षित बचा कर रखते।
