Mahishasur was a great demon in prehistoric ages. He was having nature and appearance that of a male Buffalo. He used to appear as a divine and smart human being or as a male Buffalo as per his willingness. His army and followers of Buffalo race were too strong to be defeated even by the gods / demigods / devatas. He had captured all the territories including the divine and astral ones. He was torturing everyone. Ordinary people went to the doorsteps of gods, but they were unable to help those and were themselves too badly affected for the demon was not allowing them to work for the development of human race, most intelligent of all the creatures. Ultimately all gods became gathered and went to the doorstep of super god Bramha. He along with those went to another super god Shiva. He finding himself unable to help those went to last and topmost super god Vishnu along with them. Vishnu told them the importance of unity. All gods and super gods expressed out their individual powers. Those all individual powers were then united together and came out in the form of a super power in the appearance of a too beautiful, powerful and divine goddess called as Durga. She warned the demon many times but he took her lightly. Ultimately she killed him thus opening the way for the development of humanity and divinity.
This is a classical pauranik story of Hindu religious literature. We can take it into original scientific form. Mahishasur demon was the prehistoric dinosaur kingdom when Buffalo-mouthed reptilians used to roam the earth, hindering the human evolution by the natural elements / gods. No separate / lonely natural element was able to detain those. So in embodied / body less human spirits went to the personified heads of those natural elements / gods to help them for their embodied expression. Those natural elements ultimately joined together and made a most favorable condition for their destruction in the form of that scientifically proved drastic and prehistoric meteorite-hit that pushed dinosaurs to extinction. The flashing light of that meteorite was considered as the most beautiful goddess that was made through the so rare incidence of union of all of the favorable climatic conditions as union of individual powers of all the climate controlling natural elements / gods. May be that small meteorite-hits also occured before that drastic one as the signs of warning from the goddess.
This proves that ancient pauranik stories are just only the personified descriptions of the real and scientific world around us. This has only been done with a motive to produce functional non duality that leads to kundalini awakening with sustained practice. So these puranas should be regularly read, understood and that’s non dual attitude attached with one’s own individual life.

महिषासुर प्रागैतिहासिक युग में एक महान दैत्य था। वह पुरुष बफेलो / भैंसे के जैसे स्वभाव व उसीकी जैसी शक्ल का था। वह अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार कभी एक दिव्य और स्मार्ट / सुन्दर इंसान और कभी एक भैंसे के रूप में दिखाई देता था। भैंस-वंश की उसकी सेना और उसके अनुयायी देवताओं द्वारा भी पराजित होने के लिए नहीं बने थे। उन्होंने दिव्य और सूक्ष्म लोकों सहित सभी क्षेत्रों पर कब्जा कर लिया था। वह महिषराज हर किसी को यातना दे रहा था। साधारण लोग देवताओं के दरवाजे पर सहायता के लिए गए, लेकिन वे उन लोगों की मदद करने में असमर्थ थे और उन राक्षसों से खुद भी बहुत बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुए थे, जिससे उन्हें उस मानव जाति के विकास के लिए काम करने की इजाजत नहीं मिल पा रही थी, जो सभी प्राणियों में सबसे अधिक बुद्धिमान होती है। आखिरकार सभी देवता इकट्ठे हो गए और सुपर गॉड / महा देवता ब्रह्मा के द्वार पर गए। वे उनके साथ एक और सुपर भगवान शिव के पास गए। उन्होंने भी खुद को उन लोगों व देवताओं की सहायता करने में असमर्थ पाया, अतः वे भी उनके साथ अंतिम और शीर्ष सुपर भगवान विष्णु के पास चले गए। विष्णु ने उन्हें एकता के महत्व के बारे में बताया। सभी देवताओं और सुपर देवताओं ने अपनी व्यक्तिगत शक्तियों को अभिव्यक्त किया। फिर उन सभी व्यक्तिगत शक्तियों को एक साथ एकजुट किया गया, जिससे एक बहुत ही शक्तिशाली, सुन्दर, मनुष्याकृत और दिव्य देवी के रूप में एक सुपर पावर उत्पन्न हुई, जिसे दुर्गा कहा जाता था। उसने राक्षस को कई बार चेतावनी दी लेकिन उसने उसे हल्के में लिया। आखिरकार उसने मानवता और दिव्यता के विकास के लिए रास्ता खोलने के लिए उसे मार डाला।
यह हिंदू धार्मिक साहित्य की शास्त्रीय पौराणिक कहानी है। हम इसे मूल वैज्ञानिक रूप में ले सकते हैं। महिषासुर राक्षस का साम्राज्य प्रागैतिहासिक डायनासौर का साम्राज्य ही था, जब महिषमुख सरीसृप पृथ्वी के चारों ओर घूमते थे, और प्राकृतिक तत्वों / देवताओं द्वारा मानव विकास में बाधा डालते थे। कोई अकेला प्राकृतिक तत्व उनको रोकने में सक्षम नहीं था। तो देहरहित मानव आत्माओं ने उन प्राकृतिक तत्वों के मनुष्याकृत प्रमुखों / देवताओं से अपनी मानवीय अभिव्यक्ति के लिए सहायता माँगी। वे सभी प्राकृतिक तत्व / जल, वायु, अग्नि आदि आखिरकार एक साथ शामिल हो गए और वैज्ञानिक रूप से साबित प्रागैतिहासिककाल की कठोर उल्कापिंड-टक्कर के रूप में उन्होंने उन दैत्यों के विनाश के लिए सबसे अनुकूल स्थितियां बनाईं, जो अंततः डायनासोर को विलुप्त कर पाईं। उस उल्कापिंड की चमकती रोशनी को सबसे खूबसूरत / दिव्य व शक्तिशाली देवी माना गया, जो सभी अनुकूल जलवायु-स्थितियों के संघ की इतनी दुर्लभ घटना के माध्यम से अंतरिक्ष से धरती की ओर गिराया गया था। वास्तव में ऐसी अति दुर्लभ घटना करोड़ों वर्षों में, सभी जलवायु नियंत्रक प्राकृतिक तत्वों / देवताओं की व्यक्तिगत शक्तियों के संघ से ही होती है। हो सकता है कि उससे पहले भी छोटे-२ उल्कापात हुए हों, जो उस दैत्य को देवी के द्वारा दी गई अंतिम चेतावनी के रूप में माने जा रहे हों।
यह साबित करता है कि प्राचीन पौराणिक कहानियां हमारे आस-पास की वास्तविक और वैज्ञानिक दुनिया के केवल personified / मनुष्याकृत वर्णन ही हैं। ऐसा केवल कार्यात्मक अद्वैत को पैदा करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया है, जो निरंतर अभ्यास के साथ कुंडलिनी जागृति को उत्पन्न करता है। इसलिए इन पुराणों को नियमित रूप से पढ़ा जाना चाहिए, समझ लिया जाना चाहिए और इनसे उत्पन्न अद्वैत-दृष्टिकोण को अपने वर्तमान के अपने व्यक्तिगत जीवन से जोड़ा जाना चाहिए।
